Below is a quick check-list of what you must carry and what you should. It's an important list to keep in mind right before you leave where ever it is that you leave from. Make sure you miss nothing!

Also, getting a head start on bonding and speaking to the locals can never hurt - its a quick read and a helpful list.

Clothing

  • 3 tees (+2 full sleeve tshirts)
  • 2 pairs of thermals
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 pair of track pants
  • Water proof / Wind proof upper and lower (or poncho)
  • Zip-through Sweatshirt (or) light jacket (hooded)
  • Down Jacket (preferably hooded)
  • 4 pairs of socks (2 warm +2 regular)
  • Convertible gloves (or) 1 pair warm and 1 pair of liner
  • Safari hat + beanie


Other Gear

  • Rucksack (60l or more)
  • Day bag (35-40l) light weight
  • 2 bottles (for water/juices)
  • Torch (or) head torch
  • Walking stick (1 or 2 – depending on taste)
  • Sleeping bag + liner + mat (0 degree or lower)
  • 1 pair of gaiters
  • Personal 1st aid kit
  • Sun block (30SPF or more)
  • Hygiene Pack (personal essentials)
